COUNT DRACULA IS DEAD?

Friday 3rd Iuli we took a train over the Carpathian mountains to Transylvania, Brasov.
The city is somewhat picturesque as a postcard, and is actually called as Brasovwood, hence the BRASOV sign on the mountain copied from HOLLYWOOD. Actually, the city could be called BEARTOWN too, since the Lonely Planet tells us (and locals very much verified this), they have a huge problem with the bears. There are bears in the surrounding forests in the mountains (Brasov is built in a valley middle of the forest), and during the night bears wonder about Brasov eating from the garbage bins. We didn't see any bears. So far. Today this can change as we are going to hike to the mountains..

Yesterday 4th we took a bus to a near by town called Bran to find out about Dracula. Here we learned something;
Vlad Ţepeş aka Count Dracula is DEAD! But the castle remains. I couldn't believe this but it is true! First Santa Claus doesn't exist, then UFOs are not, and now this. Vlad Ţepeş, the impaler, was killed some centuries ago. But we didn't see the actual body so to me this remains a mystery. I somehow want to believe that he is actually still there, maybe giving the legend a new boost soon.

So, we are fine, no neck marks and we have not turned into vampires here (we just say so? ;)) and following night we are taking a night bus towards the next destination: Timişoara. It seems we only live during the night now. Maybe something has changed??
